Three and a half ex-Metros win MLS Cup
November 12, 2006

Former Metro Brad Davis missed in the shootout, but nevertheless Houston prevailed on penalties 4:3 after a 1:1 overtime tie to beat choke artists New England for the MLS title. Another former Metro, Ricardo Clark, was suspended for a final, while Adrian Serioux, who was briefly with the team this year without playing in an actual game, started for Houston. Zach Wells, who didn't play a single minute for the Dynamo in MLS play, gets to be part of the championship as well. Daniel Hernandez was the lone former Metro on the losing side.
